Note: Dinner and drinks will be outdoors on a grassy field.

Saturday Ceremony + Celebration

Formal-ish, Floral, Flirty and Fre$h

If you’re so inclined… Wear your brightest brights and bold florals. Have fun with it :) Saturday’s celebration will be a woodland garden party and we’re hoping to fill the space with saturated color and lots of prints. There will be a somewhat rugged ¼ mile (~5 min) walk from the shuttle to the celebration space. Bring backup shoes for this walk or dress accordingly.

Note from Caitlin: I always throw caution to the wind and ignore urges to “wear wedges” when I see warnings like this, but this walk is bumpy, humpy, root-y, and not conducive to heels. Trust. Pack a pair of walking slides if you’re intent on wearing heels for the night (I know I am).

Sunday Brunch

No shirt, no shoes, no service, bbs!

Children

We (probably) love your children but in order to allow all guests to relax and let their hair down, we have chosen to make this weekend adults only. Thank you for understanding!

Altitude

Lyons, CO is located at 5,700 ft. and the Owens house in Estes is at 9,600 ft. Please speak with your doctor if you have a history of altitude sickness and come prepared with any medications that may help support you during this weekend. Most people don’t feel the extreme effects of altitude but some common everyday symptoms include lightheadedness, shortness of breath and dull headaches. All of these symptoms may be exacerbated by alcohol consumption and mitigated by hydrating consistently throughout your time at altitude.

Lodging

We have reserved the homes at Wee Casa for the weekend. Do not contact them; these arrangements may be made directly with us. Please visit the “Travel + Lodging” page for more information.

Shuttles

There will be shuttle services from Wee Casa at 3PM in Lyons to the ceremony/ celebration space at the Owens house in Estes Park (and back to Wee Casa at the end of the night). Please check the “Travel + Lodging” page for additional details around timing and pickup locations. This is a 35-minute ride and we encourage everyone to take the shuttles as there is very limited parking at the ceremony space. Please consider wearing your mask during shuttle rides.

COVID Safety

All weekend activities will be held outdoors or under open-air tents in case of inclement weather. There will, however, be a 35-minute shuttle from Lyons to and from the ceremony space on Saturday. We encourage everyone to wear masks during these rides.

What is there to do when we’re not wedding-ing?

Wee Casa is situated on a river bend park, perfect for swimming, tubing and toe-dipping with a cold one. Spend the day cooling off at the creek, explore the town of Lyons, find a local hike or venture into Estes Park (around a 40-minute drive) to get old-timey portraits, visit the famed Stanley Hotel or view the elk herds known for bopping around town.

Is there someone I can contact if I have any other questions about the weekend?

Please email caitlinandbillwedding@gmail.com with any specific questions about travel, weekend activities, logistics, hot takes on Julia Fox or anything at all. We’ll do our best to help accommodate any ideas or queries you might raise.
